Shh, its a Secret!

Since I am upping my promotional game by investing time into a full fledged website for my growing business, I thought perhaps it was also time to take a look at my blog and give it a freshening up with a new host, and a new look, with more of a focus on my wonderful clients and photo shoots!Amber
To launch it's (second) inaugural post, I'm introducing you to Dave and Sarah, but "shh" - don't tell them!
I was contacted by Dave back in January who wanted to do a sleuthy photo shoot at a skating rink in Barrie to capture their first anniversary together. But the catch was that he wanted to keep the photos a secret so as to surprise Sarah with a keepsake book of photos from their first year together (awww right?!) at a later date.
So on the upside I had never met Sarah so its not like she would know who I was, but it was a bit tricky as the ice wasn't too busy (which normally I would say that's a good thing), but for our purpose it meant I was pretty obvious out there with my camera. Another challenge was that it was also after dark which I don't mind (too much) except that it limited me to using the lighting available as I didn't want to draw more attention to myself through use of off camera flashes. I'm sure I made a few people uncomfortable as they couldn't tell who I was trying to take photos of, but I carried on through their questioning looks and nervous smiles (lol).
So despite all the challenges of this shoot, we came away with a really special album that will finish off Dave's anniversary gift to Sarah beautifully!
