Sarah & Dave's Wedding Day

The first time I met Sarah & Dave, I didn't really meet them. Dave got in touch with me in January of 2018 to have me do a sneaky shoot for him as a surprise gift to his (then) girlfriend Sarah. So on one very dark evening I layered up and headed to an outdoor rink in Barrie Ontario to grab some shots of a couple I had never met! And the deal was, it had to be on the sly - Sarah wasn't supposed to know I was there taking photos of her! It was definitely one of my more interesting requests but one I definitely had a lot of fun doing and I couldn't have seen back then that fast forward almost 2 years and here I am preparing to send out their Wedding gallery!

His gift to her back then was so romantic and thoughtful that it was no surprise that those themes echoed throughout their wedding day, with every little detail having been carefully and lovingly thought out and many of them created by both Sarah and Dave, like their copper inspired centerpieces, and wildflower wreaths and crowns.

There were little stories and touches of personality and memories weaved through each setting.

Their service took place outdoors under a beautiful gable with their friends and family in close attendance - including the Groom's long-time sidekick "buddy", incorporating into it a Celtic hand-fasting tradition using a rope hand-woven by the Bride herself. It was rustic romance at it's finest; made that much more beautiful by the stunning surroundings of The Belcroft Estate in Innisfil Ontario.

After the service the guests were kept hydrated and happy during a special cocktail hour in which they also decorated masquerade masks for the reception later, while the Wedding Party took full advantage of all that Belcroft has to offer!

From there on it was a party to remember inside the upper floor of the old Barn at the front of the estate with touching speeches, countless toasts, and some hairy Groomsmen!
